According to Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump, women exist to be objectified, gawked at, judged on their appearance, and groped. In case you forgot, the year is 2016. While women still have great work to do towards equality, we are further now than we have ever been. Yet, the man who could potentially begin serving in the office of the US presidency–considered by many as the most powerful position in the world–is one who has made countless sexist, misogynistic, bigoted comments and refuses to own up for them besides his own version of the “boys will be boys” argument. How in the world are women still objectified to such an extent in the 21st century? Donald Trump does not represent me or the other women in America, and my desire to stop him from getting elected has been pushed even further.
